"My Mosaic and Candle"No fireworks tonight on July 4th. Just a soft picture of a candle and it's reflection on my mosaic vase is what I am thankful for tonight. I took this picture back in June 19th with a friend's 50mm lens that I gave back today. I was having such a hard time deciding what to post as my blessing today. I suppose recalling a certain time in the past with a photograph to remember it by, that was taken by a lens that I no longer have, and truly knowing that at that moment I was enjoying a quiet evening by myself...I can be thankful of what I did have.
I love this picture, because it reminds me that although my life isn't shining from the inside, God continues to be God and His eternal flame never goes out. Even if it's only a small flicker of His reflection that is shining down on me that I see, it should be more than enough for me to bow down and worship Him.
Why am I having such a hard time finding a blessing in my present state? Maybe I need to replay today's events. I obviously missed something. Something blinds me. So this verse came to mind...
