Today was a beautiful day. Away from normality, I had to take my mom to Stanford Medical Center to get a medical procedure done. This hospital is one of the best in the world. This flower is for her. I pray that everything will be alright. God is always in control.
Dar accompanied me and decided to wait at the Stanford Mall while my mom was in the hospital. This was the entrance to the Ralph Lauren Polo store. We felt like we stepped into world class dream vacation! Pretty impressive! It was a nice distraction for me.
Instead of window shopping and getting tempted into buying things we really didn't need, I convinced Dar that we should get our devotions in and get some studying done first. This was a nice blessing to sit under a tree and enjoy the day while doing something productive.
I praise God for giving me this opportunity to help my mom. Although the drive was long and the day was exhausting, it was a blessing to have spent some time with my mom and Dar. I praise God that He gave me enough strength (even though not feeling up to par) to do His will today. Ceasing the moment with loved one makes up a perfect day...no matter what the sacrifice may be.
So wherever you may find yourself to be at this moment...at home, working the night shift, or at some nice cafe trying to study...think back on how this day was spent. Praise God for every moment and those who you came in contact with. Today will never come again.
