Blessing 239 - Uncovered Beauty

On Facebook, I said that I was going to take a picture of something ugly. It took a while to find something ugly. I'm happy to say that God has trained my eyes so well to try to see the beauty in all things, that I was having such a hard time trying to find "UGLY". It rained at the time I was taking my pictures. Then I thought to myself, "Hmm, this day is pretty ugly." But God had other thoughts for me...

I tried to focus on the ugly gray clouds, but God put a sliver of the sunset for me to see. That wasn't ugly, but quiet hopeful to see. Maybe tomorrow the sun will come out.

I discovered a piece of plywood leaning against our side wall in the backyard. It was drenched with rain and a musty odor greeted my nose as I got closer to it. "Aha! This is kinda ugly!", I thought to myself. But after I took a picture, it actually came out quite awesome! Reminds me of orange lollipops and balloons!

ALAS! I found 'UGLY"!!!
A chunk of Monta's wet dog hair was plastered on a piece of wood with green algae growing right next to it! Pretty gross! But after giving it much thought, as ugly as it looked, those hairs came from a my dog that I absolutely love! Blame my "heart-shaped eyes"!

No matter how ugly our situations maybe, God has a way to transform them into a thing of beauty! Let's try to put on "God's eyes" and see the positive in everyone and in everything. Focus on the beauty of the Lord!

One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
