Oh, the barren winter tree when all seems to be asleep and its life in the state of abandonment. No fruit is to be found. The time of year I wish never existed. No color, no activity, no life... or so it seems.
It's during the dormant times of life that God seems to do His wonders. We may not see the undercover miracles. But in His time, life comes to full bloom! Colors, activity, and fruit. Fruit takes time, but it is promised to those who will abide in Christ. I pray that my life will yield abundant fruits this new year.
I am thankful for the blessings I cannot see. By faith, I am going to have a bountiful harvest in my service to the Lord. I know that pruning will produce blessings. I also know that pruning can be very painful. Pray that I will remain and abide ever so closely to The Vine no matter what the cost.
John 15:1-4
1"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
