Blessing 261 - Garbage Day

Every Tuesday morning
is garbage day on my street.
I noticed that my neighbor across the street had his garbage, recycle, and yard waste bins perfectly organized. I stood there and actually admired them!

Meanwhile, our garbage bins had no such order. We even had an extra garbage bag sitting on top of the bin! Haha! Epic!

I had to laugh at the contrasts between them! I realized that no matter how much we try to "organize" garbage on the outside, it's still going to be "GARBAGE" on the inside! Then I thought to myself ... "Doesn't God look at sin the same way?" There is no such thing as small sin or big sin. There is no such thing as a pretty sin or an ugly sin. There is no difference in an organize sin or a messy sin. It's still sin to God and we cannot camouflage it.

It's "Garbage Day" for me. It's time to throw it out. I can no longer be a slave to it. I am free, therefore, I must live in freedom. Praise God for this reminder.

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.
Romans 6:6-7
