Benicia Pier at Sunset
How good God is for giving me the strength and determination to get out of my comfort zone today. I wasn't at my best today. I woke up with an ear ache and a scratchy throat. I tried to remedy my condition by drinking lots of tea and getting plenty of rest. I actually felt a lot better this afternoon. My Benicia Pier was killing me softly and beckoning me to visit. So I did. I packed up my camera bag, tripod, and Ashley. We caught the sunset right before it disappeared behind the hills. I captured a few sunset moments over the water, a friendly couple walking the pier, and the water under the pier.
A photographer friend has truly motivated and inspired me to think outside the box and to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to capturing an image. This pier picture is a result of that. I truly believe that God causes our paths to cross with others to fine tune us and further His Kingdom. I think my skills are improving each day as God allows me to apply what I am learning. I know as I try to perfect my skills, it will further His Kingdom by pointing others to His beauty and majesty.
Psalm 145:4-6
One generation will commend your works to another;
they will tell of your mighty acts.
They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
They will tell of the power of your awesome works,
and I will proclaim your great deeds.
P.S. Just when I thought my old Canon was at its end! ;)
