Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I'm not Irish nor do I believe in luck. But I remembered these beautiful green leaves that I stumbled upon in a botanical garden last year. I've been waiting for this day to finally show you! If you look close enough, you will begin to realize that the leaves have an old familiar shape to them! Who said that hearts have to be red? Not today!!! They shall be green in honor of St. Patrick!
We have a dear friend, by the name of Patrick Lew, and today happens to be his birthday! He is not Irish nor is he anything close to it. He happens to be half Chinese and half Japanese. Happy Birthday, Pat, and may God continually bless you with each new day. May your encouraging ripples reach those who need God's love.
Sometimes things are never what they seem to be. You don't have to be Irish or have a birthday on St. Pat's to celebrate. You don't have to believe in luck to know that you are blessed beyond measure because you have a God who is in complete control. Hearts do not always have to remain red. It's all in how you perceive things.
No human wisdom can truly understand God's sovereignty. We may not understand why our lives are the way they are. Thoughts and feelings can only scratch the surface of God's true persona. Whether you believe that it's by luck, chance, or that you deserved the good fortune that has fallen into your lap, one still cannot fully conclude that you have been given this "pot of gold" because you were lucky. The only thing that my whole heart, mind, and soul can rest upon is the fact that GOD'S FAVOR rests upon His children.
For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you,
and in the day of salvation I helped you."
I tell you, now is the time of God's favor,
now is the day of salvation.
